Twine and paper mulch are available - both useful not just in the hopyard but in the garden as well. Hops Twine   Untreated 19' length paper twine with a 300 lb break test, allowed in organic production. Also useful for tomato or cucumber twine. Composts easily at the end of the year. It's Hops harvest time!

It's Hops harvest time!

We're picking hops for the next three weeks (first half of September). It's a wonderful time of year as we gather a convivial group together to hang out and pick together. We've already picked the early Fuggles, Mt Hood and Goldings, next week it's onward to Willamette and many more! There's nothing as wonderful as the smell of fresh hops in the dryer - except the smell of the fresh-hopped beers which will be coming soon!
