Everything is Political Business measures its success by the amount of profit it generates – maximizing shareholder returns, in corporate-speak. Normal business practice is to do anything and everything to make as much money as possible. This business status quo is exploitative, individualist, and in political terms, rightwing and capitalist (since capitalism defines itself in economic terms). It's Hops harvest time!

We're picking hops for the next three weeks (first half of September). It's a wonderful time of year as we gather a convivial group together to hang out and pick together. We've already picked the early Fuggles, Mt Hood and Goldings, next week it's onward to Willamette and many more! There's nothing as wonderful as the smell of fresh hops in the dryer - except the smell of the fresh-hopped beers which will be coming soon!
